One star for these products being a match for my truly fine mix of curly/wavy hair.
Unfortunately, I’m really just not able to use these products. As someone who once had a small business of handmade goods, I can’t quite bring myself to return the products despite budget concerns, but perhaps I can help Miribel avoid returns from other dissatisfied customers with fine hair:
The extra hold gel came the closest to being usable for me, but it is very crunchy and returns to a crunchy state after you get rid of the cast if you mist it (to restore curl).
The regular gel just does nothing for me at all in terms of hold.
The mousse was the one that I thought would be a sure-fire hit over here, so I bought a full size. My hair has always loved mousse. I tried it in large amounts, small amounts, on its own after leave in conditioner, in modest amounts after gel (this option was the closest to working), in dry hair, in damp hair, and in soaking wet hair. And I’ve come to the conclusion that I simply can’t try it anymore. It makes my hair brittle and knotty, and the curl does not hold even with very large amounts applied. If used to perk up hair that lost some of its curl, it does look nice but for less than an hour.
I seem to have more curl without any product than with these products. And I certainly have healthier hair when using the unscented products I already have on hand. It would seem that the genie for TRULY FINE hair is not yet out of the bottle.
But I wish Maribel all the best. I’ve been wanting to try the products for sooooo long, and I’m just bummed that this was the answer. The products are clearly working for the main target audience of semi-fine to coarse curly-haired persons.
I tried both products and both made my low porosity hair fuzzy. I tried it in different weather, alone and with other products. Not for me.
This is the best gel I have ever used. I finally love my curls.

These products make my Curly hair curl awesomely! I now Just love my hair and all the awesome curls, that stay for days! All it takes for the following days after applying products is just spaying it with water crunch, crunch the curls , fluff them out a little and off I go ! Easy Peasy! I do wrap it up every night! Thank you for such amazing products which give me awesome curls ! Believe me I’ve tried everything, this is the best of the best!
It’s great and provides great slip while also holding but I wish the extra hold was actually extra… I feel it’s the same.. I wish there was a product with more hold for dryer hair textures
I have been using Miribel Naturals products for a while and think they’re great. When I ordered some more of the Silky Smooth Flaxseed Gel, a must have in my product rotation, I decided to try out the sample size of the Extra Hold Flaxseed Gel. Now, I wish I had bought that instead! It’s so very, very good. Kept my hair looking great for days! Thanks for creating yet another terrific curly hair product. I’m 71 and have lived so long on this planet with zero options for curly hair. Now the options are endless, but so few are truly good. I feel confident in Miribel.

The pump on the flaxseed gel will not open no matter if I turn it to the left or right. I have to guess how much gel to use. Very frustrating.
I noticed a huge difference after the first use. Now that I have been using for a couple of weeks, I can’t imagine using any other product. My hair is so much softer and healthier. It also has a wonderful light and natural scent.
I’ve tried so many products from Prose to Kitch, and your gel is my favorite item for my curls!
I really liked all the samples. My favorite was the scalp scrub. Realistically, the products are too expensive for me and my budget. But they are lovely.
Pros:
- don't need a ton of product to get decent hold
- moisturizing and forms a good cast, hair doesn't feel dry or crispy after scrunching out the cast, even without using an oil or serum
- no scent or unpleasant odor
My hair type is fine, mainly 2B, with some 2A and some 2C pieces scattered around. It's hard to get definition and moisture without weighing my hair down or making it look greasy, which hasn't been an issue with this gel!
This is my new go to gel, it give a great cast, and the best hold
I love this product. It is pricey but a little goes a long way especially if you sleep with a bonnet on. I'll be purchasing again!
